Thou met’st with things dying, I with things new-born.

From murderous jealousy to mystical redemption, from darkest winter to high summer, Time, the Great Transformer, brings in his changes. Shakespeare’s magical play takes us from deep tragedy to high comedy, from an act born of insane paranoia in a winter palace to a wild country summer festival. Along the way we are reminded what it is to be human: to love and to lose and perhaps, also, to be restored.

Bristol Old Vic Theatre School's MA International company of actors, who gave you the hugely enjoyable The Rover and last year's sell-out production of The Rivals, now bring their unique talents to bear on this late masterpiece, aiming to prove that The Winter's Tale is the perfect entertainment for a summer's evening.
